Let your career find its purpose here at Carondelet. /n/n/n Radiology Technologist Full Time Rotating Position Summary /n/n/n Takes radiologic films providing quality images to physicians to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems. /n/n/n Responsibilities /n/n/n Prepares and positions patients for x-rays and selects exposure factors accurately. /n/n/n Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations. /n/n/n Observes patient during procedure and reports abnormal activity. /n/n/n Monitors protocols and recommends updates or refinements as warranted. /n/n/n Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines. /n/n/n Prevents patient from being exposed to unnecessary radiation. /n/n/n Checks for accuracy of ordered exams by comparing to written physician order. /n/n/n Verifies correct patient by two forms of identity verification, prior to injecting patient or starting exam. /n/n/n Maintains patient confidentiality per established CHN policies regarding HIPAA rights and practices. /n/n/n Maintains proper oxygen therapy on patients who require oxygen. /n/n/n Maintain skills required to change oxygen tanks. /n/n/n Must be able to use masks and nasal canula. /n/n/n Adjusts rate of O2 flow with mask/nasal canula according to written physician orders. /n/n/n Secures and safely transports e-cylinders. /n/n/n Accesses electronic patient health record via current system. /n/n/n Inputs and processes requisitions. /n/n/n Inputs all relevant information and provides film/imaging history to physician, as appropriate. /n/n/n Expectations for operating room: Manipulates/operates all C-arms, troubleshoots errors with equipment, performs sterile technique while operating C-arm, assists circulating RN as needed, prints films from C-arm when needed, archives images to PACS from C-arm, sets-up C-arm with all patient information, positions C-arm to the surgeons specifications, locates/documents patient dose. /n/n/n THE RADIOLOGY TECHNOLOGIST FULL TIME ROTATING CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE. /n/n/n EDUCATION /n/n/n Required: Graduate of an accredited radiology program. /n/n/n CERTIFICATION /n/n/n Required: ARRT- R (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) and AZ Medical Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners (MRTBE)- Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT). /n/n/n Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association. /n/n/n WORK EXPERIENCE /n/n/n Required: The experience acquired during radiology program and student clinical training. /n/n/n LI-SB4 /n Tenet AZ Job ID 2503011659-2.
