The Role: As our Commercial Estimator, you will be the strategic link between blueprints and reality. You won't just be crunching numbers; you'll be navigating market conditions, visiting job sites, and building the vendor relationships that make our bids the most competitive in the region. What You’ll Do: Analyze & Forecast: Dive deep into blueprints, specs, and project docs to build comprehensive cost profiles for labor, materials, and equipment. Strategic Bidding: Ensure every bid is both competitive and profitable, aligning with project budgets and company goals. Vendor Management: Negotiate and manage supplier quotes to secure the best value without compromising quality. Field Collaboration: Conduct on-site visits and work hand-in-hand with Project Managers to refine estimates as projects evolve. Market Mastery: Keep a pulse on market trends and material costs to keep our team ahead of the curve. What We’re Looking For: Experience: Proven track record in commercial construction estimating (plumbing or mechanical experience is a major plus!). Technical Proficiency: Ability to read complex blueprints and utilize estimating software with high accuracy. Analytical Mindset: You enjoy the "puzzle" of forecasting and have a sharp eye for detail that others miss.
