OBGYN opening near PhoenixLocated in Surprise, AZ - Phoenix 35mFull-time, permanent positionEmployedBoard CertifiedESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:Graduate of an accredited medical school programCompletion of an accredited United States Obstetrical/Gynecological Residency programValid Arizona medical licenseValid DEA certificateCurrent BLSThree (3) years of experience in community healthBilingual English/Spanish, preferredPrior experience using Electronic Health Records (EMRs)POSITION RESPONSIBILITIESHealth Care Delivery: Report to the Regional Medical DirectorProvide high quality health care services including the following: Accessible and available OB/GYN medical and surgical services to patients for which the Provider is credentialed and privileged - Minimum surgical expectations include: OB patients: 1. Cesarean sections 2. Cesarean hysterectomy 3. Suction Dilation and Curettage for spontaneous/missed abortions and retained product of conceptions 4. Cervical cerclage (option) 5. External version (option) GYN patients: 1. Laparoscopic tubal ligation 2. Laparoscopic treatment of ectopic pregnancy 3. Hysteroscopy with D&C 4. Total abdominal hysterectomy 5. Vaginal hysterectomy (option) 6. Suction Dilation and Curettage for heavy emergency bleeding 7. Colposcopy 8. Contraceptive insertion (e.g., IUD, Nexplanon) 9. LAVH (option) 10. Laparoscopic hysterectomy (option) 11. Anterior and posterior repair (option) 12. Vaginal sling (option) 13. Endometrial ablation, any methods (option) Education of and effective communication with those served concerning the diagnosis and treatment of their medical conditions, appropriate preventive measures, and use of the health care system Treatment that is consistent with clinical impressions and working diagnoses Appropriate, accurate and complete paper/electronic medical record entries, in a timely manner Adequate and appropriate transfer of information for continuity of care Evaluate patients in a timely, courteous, and professional manner Complete all required documentation for billing of services providedPromote and demonstrate good customer service to both external and internal customersConsult, refer, and collaborate with other disciplines involved in the delivery of total patient careAdvise management on performance deficiencies of medical auxiliary personnel (including M.A.s)Assume the role and duties of other OB/GYN clinical personnel, as necessaryRotate call for emergencies in the evening, and on weekends and holidays as assignedAttend continuing medical education (CME) programs (up to 40 CME hours per year) and provide a copy of the course completion certificate to the Medical Staff Services Department. Maintain credentialing and privileging in good standing
