A healthcare opportunity is available for a skilled Radiologic Technologist to provide specialized diagnostic and therapeutic imaging services in a unique, culturally diverse region. This contract position is based in Kaibeto, AZ, serving a large referral area within the Navajo and Hopi Reservations. The role is vital in delivering high-quality radiologic care across multiple clinical areas including internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, and more. Responsibilities: - Perform technical operations of radiologic X-ray equipment for inpatient and outpatient diagnostic imaging - Process and manage radiographic images accurately - Operate teleradiology and fax equipment efficiently - Collaborate with medical providers including surgeons, pediatricians, and specialists to support patient care - Maintain compliance with safety and quality standards in radiology procedures - Participate in orientation sessions, scheduled every two weeks Qualifications/Desired Experience: - Arizona State License in Radiology (R) and ARRT Certification in Radiology required - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association - Completion of radiology training from an AMA-approved school - Minimum of 3 years experience in radiology, demonstrating technical proficiency - Expertise in operating teleradiology and related equipment - Successful clearance of fingerprinting prior to start Location Insight:This opportunity is located on the Colorado Plateau in Northwestern Arizona, a culturally rich area featuring a semi-desert landscape with elevations ranging from 4,400 to nearly 7,000 feet. The community reflects diverse influences, including Navajo, Hopi, Southern Paiute, Anglo, Hispanic, and African American cultures. The local health center serves a broad region offering comprehensive medical services including emergency care, surgical procedures, dental, ophthalmology, and more. Additional requirements for this position include submitting a housing application at least two weeks prior to start, due to limited housing availability on the reservation. COVID and flu exemptions may be considered after submission of a declination form.
