Registered Nurse (RN) | Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care Location: Chandler, AZ Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,176 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Days Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 3 years, including 2 years in ICU License: Current RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: 3 years of recent ICU experience, neuro or CV experience preferred Description: Auto-offer based on clinical prescreen. This position requires a full 3 years of recent ICU experience to be considered, with no exceptions. Experience must also include either neuro or cardiovascular. A dysrhythmia exam is required 24-48 hours prior to acceptance of a position, with a maximum of 2 attempts allowed. There is also a pass/fail simulation lab on the first day of orientation. Common patient diagnoses include trauma, neuro surgery cases, COVID, sepsis, and ARDS. RNs are required to titrate drips and common titratable drips include propofol, fentanyl, and levophed. Charge Nurse does not take patients. There are no nurse aides on this unit; only used for sitters and as Health Unit Secretary. Hospitalist or Intensivist are in-house 24/7. Respiratory Therapy is available in ICU 24/7. RNs are required to interpret their own telemetry strips using GE monitors. Self-scheduling is allowed, with the manager needing to balance shifts for unit needs. Weekend requirements include 3 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule. Holiday requirements may allow for 1 holiday off during an assignment. There is no additional call or standby requirement, but there may be low census shifts up to 3 times per contract. RNs may float to a different unit with a patient ratio of 1:3 or 1:4 as needed. Scrub color is navy. Unit-specific orientation will last 1-2 days. Expectations include floating between units. Candidates must not have been employed full-time, part-time, or PRN within the past year with affiliated facilities. The hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment.
