Amazon Web Services (AWS) Infrastructure Services designs,
plans, delivers, and operates all AWS global infrastructure. We

Americas (AMER) Cost Control team seeks a passionate and motivated
construction cost engineer to support our Data Center Construction
projects. The ideal candidate possesses: • Innovation and
analytical skills • Knowledge of global construction markets and
data center systems • Experience in creating benchmarks and metrics
for cost controls • Attention to detail and problem-solving
abilities • Skills in working with remote teams • Effective

industry. Key job responsibilities • Utilize tools and templates
for bid analysis and cost management • Engage and manage
third-party Quantity Surveyor vendors • Work seamlessly with
multi-disciplinary teams globally • Communicate cost control goals
effectively to all stakeholders • Identify and quantify Value
Engineering opportunities in design • Assess project risks and
their financial impacts • Update historical data repository •
Define and track cost performance metrics • Analyze Construction
vendor proposals using AWS benchmark data • Create accurate bid
leveling documents • Provide cost analysis of schedule and design
variations • Validate final award value, schedule and scope based
on contract documents • Implement, maintain and execute cost
control, change management, and performance reporting • Validate
change cost impacts • Ensure accurate and timely vendor invoices •
Support project close-out and final payments • Deliver results for

professional. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in
Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil, Mechanical or
Electrical Engineering or related field. Minimum of 2 years of
experience with Data Center or other mission critical construction
environments Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction cost
control, with specific knowledge of electrical, mechanical or ASC
cost elements. 2 years of experience as a program manager PREFERRED
QUALIFICATIONS Experience reviewing and justifying budgets
Experience communicating estimate strategy to construction and
non-construction professionals Ability to create and maintain
documentation Experience with estimating software such as CostX,
Cubit, Onscreen takeoff, Timberline and Bluebeam, as well as an MS
