Construction Materials Field Technician to join our amazing team in
the Tucson area! ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB: Regular
attendance, punctuality & communication are essential functions of
the job. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: On the job training provided
for all duties and responsibilities! Oversee full Post Tension
Inspections i.e., pad and trench certification, pre-slab, concrete
sampling, stressing, epoxy, and grade verification. Ability to
perform all ACI certified tests in the field within the first 6
months of employment. Ability to perform all ATTI certified tests
in the field within the first year of employment. Communicate
directly with clients, potential clients and contractors regarding
project needs. Manage Personal field equipment, including company
vehicle. Strictly adhere to OSHA and company safety guidelines.
Adhere to Alta Southwest company policies. Ability to complete
in-house training. Travel is primarily local during the business
day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be
needed of available. QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or GED
required. Valid Arizona driver's license and acceptable driving
record. Be able to obtain all field level certifications (Nuclear
Safety, ACI, and ATTI field). Good written and verbal skills. Good
overall communication skills, internally & externally. Be able to
learn soil mechanics and sampling of concrete and asphalt (internal
training is provided). Must be able to submit field reports and/or
data in a timely manner. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Continually required to stand. 8-9 hours daily Continually required
to walk. 8-9 hours daily Frequently required to sit. 2-3 hours
daily Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity.
8-9 hours daily Continually required to talk or hear over
environmental and equipment noise. 8-9 hours daily Continually
utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical
information, and/or use a keyboard. 8-9 hours daily Frequently
required to lift/push/carry items no less than 50 pounds.
Frequently work in elevated surfaces, environmental conditions such
