What is an Operations Analyst?

An Operations Analyst within Shared Services works across all servicing centers and functional business units within and outside of Global Home, and is responsible for conducting business process analysis, needs assessments and preliminary cost-benefit analysis to support its business initiatives. 

This is a remote position.

  

Responsibilities will consist of:

  • Identifies service and/or system project scope by gathering and analyzing related information, identifying the root cause of the problem and documenting results
  • Gathering user requirements by interviewing customers and studying system capabilities
  • Develops problem solutions by describing requirements in a work-flowchart and diagram, analyzing alternative solutions, and translate into system requirements
  • Determines project estimates by identifying phases and elements, personnel requirements, and costs
  • Working with other departments to test and implement solutions; verifies results by developing and executing tests for moderate sized projects
  • Reviews project progress with management and stakeholders regularly
  • The maintenance of systems and/or processes by analyzing and providing overall support to internal and external customers
  • Carry out analytical assignments that are varied and possibly difficult
  • Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • 2-4 years of Operation Analyst experience in the insurance, mortgage, or banking industry
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and OneNote)
  • Knowledge of preferred reporting tools (Tableau, SharePoint Lists, SQL, etc.) a plus
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to details and able to work independently and accurately
  • Ability to work effectively with others both within and across businesses, establishing and maintaining productive working relationships
