Honeywell's ACST team is seeking a Sr. Automation Engineer for our Chandler, AZ location. - -

YOUR ROLE WILL INCLUDE:
--- Lead the development and implementation of automation strategies to optimize manufacturing processes.
--- Design and optimize automated systems to improve efficiency and quality.
--- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and drive continuous improvement.
--- Provide technical expertise and guidance in automation technologies and best practices.
--- Lead and mentor a team of automation engineers.
--- Support and assist the maintenance and facilities team in troubleshooting difficult breakdowns and chronic equipment failures related to control systems.
US CITIZENSHIP REQUIREMENTS
--- Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements. - -YOU MUST HAVE
---Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
---5+ years of professional controls engineering experience.
---5+ years of advanced PLC programming knowledge on Rockwell, Siemens, or equivalent PLCs in a production environment.
---5+ years of experience with plant applications such as MES, BMS, and others.
---Experience with commissioning and troubleshooting production equipment such as torque controllers, robotics, computer servers, testing equipment, and/or others.
---Software applications programming experience.
---Understanding of databases and various program languages (MySQL, Python, etc.).
---Proven project management experience.
---Proficient in working with and creating electrical diagrams and prints.
---Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

---Experience launching new plant systems and their integration into the IT Infrastructure and Facilities.
